Telangana receives Rs 30,425 crore for highway expansion and elevated corridor to Srisailam

The Union Government has sanctioned Rs 30,425 crore for national highway projects in Telangana, covering 1,174 km. 

Additionally, Rs 868 crore has been allocated from the Central Road Infrastructure Fund (CRIF) for 422 km. 

Key projects include a four-lane elevated corridor over the Nagarjunsagar-Srisailam Tiger Reserve connecting Hyderabad to Srisailam, aimed at boosting tourism and improving connectivity. 

Another significant project is the 161.5 km regional expressway from Girmapur to Tangadapalli, costing Rs 13,957 crore, along with widening of NH-63, NH-565, and NH-930P. 

These initiatives are part of Telangana’s long-term plan to enhance infrastructure, reduce travel time, and facilitate industrial growth.
