Tanfac Industries Ltd., part of the Aditya Birla Group, has commissioned the second phase of its 5,000 TPA High Purity Solar Grade Di-Fluoro-Hydantoin (DHF) plant. 

The chemical is a key input in the production of specialty fluorine-based materials used in the solar photovoltaic industry.

This expansion strengthens Tanfac’s position in the global specialty chemicals market, especially as India pushes to expand its solar module manufacturing capacity under Production Linked Incentive (PLI) schemes. 

By catering to the growing renewable energy supply chain, Tanfac is diversifying beyond its core fluorine chemicals portfolio.
