Shilchar Technologies Limited has announced that its ongoing capacity expansion project at its Gavasad manufacturing facility in Vadodara district, Gujarat, will be completed by April 2027.

The company is investing approximately Rs 90 crore—funded through internal accruals—to increase its annual transformer production capacity from 7,500 MVA to 14,000 MVA. 

The expansion aims to meet rising demand for transformers used in renewable energy, power distribution, and industrial applications.

Operating at full capacity for several years, Shilchar expects the project to enhance operational efficiency, boost exports, and reinforce its leadership in the power-equipment sector.
