SFO Technologies is planning a Rs.2,270 crore greenfield electronic components plant in Theni, positioning the district as an emerging manufacturing zone beyond traditional hubs. 

The facility will focus on PCB and component production for domestic and export markets 

The company expects the project to reduce reliance on imported critical electronics and build a skilled workforce locally. 

With Tamil Nadu pushing electronics manufacturing, the move may encourage suppliers and logistics firms to cluster around Theni.
