Serentica Renewables signs 100-MW ‘Load-Following’ PPA with SECI

Power Generation  -  Sep 19,2025  -

Serentica Renewables has entered into a landmark Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) for a 100 MW clean energy project.

This is notably India's first-ever "load-following" PPA, a contract designed to match the seasonal and hourly load profile of electricity buyers.

To meet this unique demand, Serentica will deploy a diversified technology mix of wind, solar, and battery energy storage systems (BESS).

The agreement requires the company to fulfill 80% of the specified hourly demand each month, with supply ranging from 17 MW during low-demand hours to 100 MW during peak times.

This innovative model is crucial for accelerating the integration of renewable energy into the national grid while ensuring grid stability.
