Sangu Chakra Hotels, also known as Sangam Hotels, has announced its plan for Rs 400 crore expansion plan to double its room inventory within the next four to five years.

Currently operating four properties in Tamil Nadu, the group aims to strengthen its presence in destinations such as Tiruchi, Rameshwaram, and Chennai.

Sangam Hotels is set to establish a 125-room hotel in downtown Tiruchi. Construction is set to begin shortly after land registration in February, with completion expected in two-and-a-half years.

The Group is in discussions with the Marriott Group for potential branding, aligning with existing Marriott properties in Tiruchi and Madurai.

In Rameshwaram, a 130-room luxury resort is under development on a 30-acre beachfront property.

The project aims to transform the pilgrimage destination into a leisure and marine tourism hotspot, with its picturesque beaches and shallow waters ideal for water sports.

In Chennai, Sangam Hotels plans to build a business hotel targeting corporate travelers, with land acquisition underway.
