Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd has secured a Rs. 144.45 crore contract to upgrade a key railway section with a transition from 1x25 kV to a 2x25 kV traction system. 

This upgrade will allow higher power availability, enabling faster and more frequent train operations. 

The modernised electrification will also improve energy efficiency and reduce operational challenges on the route. 

The project adds to RVNL’s strong order book and further strengthens its role in India’s rail-modernisation programme.
