Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited (RRVPNL), the state transmission utility of Rajasthan, has issued a tender for the establishment of a vital 2x500 MVA, 400/220 kV substation at Kumher in the Bharatpur district.

This significant infrastructure project, valued at approximately Rs 245.41 crore, aims to bolster the state's power transmission network and address the increasing electricity demand in the Bharatpur region.

The comprehensive contract, to be executed on a turnkey basis, encompasses the supply of all necessary equipment and materials, civil works, erection, and finally, testing and commissioning of the substation.

In addition to the main substation, the scope of work also includes the installation of a 400 kV, 1x125 MVAR shunt reactor (bus type) and 4x80 MVAR shunt reactors (line type) along with their associated bays.

The establishment of this high-capacity substation is a critical step in strengthening Rajasthan's electrical infrastructure, ensuring reliable power supply, and facilitating the integration of new power generation sources into the grid. It is expected to significantly improve grid stability and transmission efficiency in the region.
