Ranipet is set to host its first car manufacturing plant at the SIPCOT industrial estate.

The facility is scheduled to be inaugurated by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin on February 9.

The project marks the entry of passenger vehicle manufacturing in the region. The plant will form part of Tamil Nadu’s expanding automotive corridor.

Commercial production is expected to begin following inauguration.
