Ramsarup Industries Limited, a subsidiary of Shyam Metalics & Energy Ltd, is gearing up to commission a state-of-the-art blast furnace and linear sinter plant by the end of November 2025, marking a significant leap in its steel production capabilities. 

With an investment of approximately Rs 369 crore, the project includes an advanced blast furnace of 0.45 million tonnes per annum capacity and a linear sinter plant designed to enhance efficiency and output. 

The new facilities will incorporate cutting-edge technologies such as top-fired stoves, coal injection systems, and a dry gas cleaning unit, coupled with a 2.5 MW Top Gas Pressure Recovery Turbine (TRT) and an 8 MW gas recovery boiler for energy efficiency. 

The design follows a zero-process-water-discharge system and evaporative cooling to reduce power and water consumption by nearly 20%. 

These upgrades will allow Ramsarup to convert iron ore fines into usable feedstock, reducing operational costs while aligning with sustainable manufacturing practices. 

Once operational, the expansion is expected to boost production, improve margins, and strengthen Ramsarup’s position in the competitive Indian steel industry.
