PTC Industries Ltd and Bharat Dynamics Ltd (BDL) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to set up a joint venture focused on developing and manufacturing propulsion systems, guided bombs, and aero-engines for missiles, UAVs, and loitering munitions.

The partnership brings together PTC’s expertise in materials and precision engineering with BDL’s experience in defence systems design and missile technology.

This collaboration marks an important step in India’s push for self-reliance in defence manufacturing. By indigenising critical propulsion technologies, the joint venture aims to reduce import dependence and strengthen the domestic aerospace supply chain.

The initiative aligns with the government’s “Atmanirbhar Bharat” vision and could create new high-tech manufacturing opportunities within the country.
