Japan-based Proterial will establish India’s first amorphous electrical steel manufacturing plant at Sri City in Andhra Pradesh.

The facility will manufacture high-efficiency electrical steel used in transformers and energy applications.

Company officials said the investment supports India’s energy efficiency and power infrastructure requirements. The plant will cater to domestic demand and export markets.

Production is expected to commence after completion of construction and commissioning.

The project strengthens Sri City’s industrial base in advanced materials.
