PRISM’s Sunday Hotel expands into wildlife tourism with plan for 10 resorts across India

Hospitality and Healthcare  -  Oct 28,2025  -

PRISM Hospitality Holdings is entering India’s rapidly growing wildlife tourism segment through its brand Sunday Hotel, unveiling a strategic rollout plan to establish 10 new wildlife-focused resorts over the next few years.

These resorts will be located near major tiger reserves and protected forest zones, reflecting the company’s move to diversify beyond traditional urban hospitality. The first property under this expansion is already operational at Kanha National Park in Madhya Pradesh, one of India’s premier tiger habitats.

The company sees wildlife and eco-tourism as one of the fastest-growing travel categories in India. Domestic travelers are increasingly prioritizing nature-driven vacations and immersive outdoor experiences post-pandemic, supporting stronger occupancy rates in forest-adjacent properties than in many city-based hotels.

Sunday Hotel aims to capitalize on this momentum by offering mid-to-upscale accommodations with guided safaris, conservation-focused guest programming and curated regional experiences.

India’s wildlife tourism industry is attracting rising investment as states upgrade safari infrastructure and expand protected territories.

Sunday Hotel’s expansion aligns with this national focus and includes potential sites such as Ranthambore, Bandhavgarh, Kaziranga and Pench, each representing high-visibility destinations known for biodiversity and tiger-sighting popularity.

The company is positioning itself in the sweet spot between luxury safari lodges and budget eco-stays, targeting families and experiential travelers looking for comfort without premium pricing.
