PG Electroplast Ltd, via its wholly owned subsidiary PG Technoplast Pvt Ltd, will set up its first South India manufacturing campus in Sri City, Tirupati district, with an investment of about Rs 1,000 crore over five years. 

The company has acquired a 50-acre parcel and will start with a refrigerator manufacturing unit with an annual capacity of 1.2 million units, targeting commercial production by December 2026. 

The campus is planned as an integrated manufacturing hub with later phases earmarked for air-conditioners, washing machines and other appliances.

The first phase is expected to create 500+ direct jobs and around 2,000 indirect jobs across components, logistics and allied services; state ministers welcomed the move and Sri City/State agencies will provide handholding for approvals and infrastructure tie-ins.
