Odisha's new deep-sea port in Ganjam, with an investment of Rs 21,500 crore from the Jindal Steel and Power Group, is a key project under the state's Industrial Policy Resolution 2022. 

This policy focuses on creating a conducive environment for sustainable industrial growth by providing quality infrastructure, financial assistance, and a large land bank.

The port will significantly enhance the state's logistics infrastructure and support the growth of its manufacturing and mining industries, particularly in the steel sector. 

The project is part of a series of large-scale investments aimed at making Odisha a "destination of choice" for industrial enterprises.
