NTPC Green Energy’s Ayana has secured a 140 MW renewable energy contract at a tariff of Rs. 4.35 per kWh via a REMC tender, underscoring competitive pricing in utilityscale procurement. 

The award expands Ayana’s portfolio and contributes to grid decarbonisation while offering a predictable revenue stream for the developer. Such tariffs reflect ongoing cost declines in solar and wind equipment and favourable financing.

For offtakers and system planners, the addition of utilityscale capacity improves supply diversity and helps meet renewable purchase obligations. 

The project is also expected to generate local demand for O&M services and create shortterm construction jobs.
