Nashik attracts two mega projects totaling Rs 5,561 crore

Nashik has secured two major investment proposals that will establish it as a key manufacturing hub.

Graphite India Ltd will invest a substantial Rs 4,761 crore to manufacture synthetic graphite anode material (SGAM), a critical component for lithium-ion batteries used in electric vehicles (EVs). 

This project is expected to create around 1,166 jobs. In a parallel development, Virtuoso Optoelectronics Pvt Ltd (VOPL) will invest Rs 800 crore at Dindori, Nashik, to produce electronic products and motors, generating another 500 jobs. 

These investments are set to transform Nashik into an emerging hub for EV and electronics manufacturing.
