A 22-km stretch passing through a tiger corridor in Madhya Pradesh’s Itarsi–Betul section is set to be upgraded into a four-lane highway. The project aims to improve connectivity while incorporating wildlife protection measures.

Balancing infrastructure development with ecological preservation is a key focus for such projects.

The upgraded highway will reduce travel time and enhance road safety. Special provisions are expected to be included to minimise impact on wildlife movement.
