Major hotel projects announced across Tamil Nadu with investments exceeding Rs. 5,000 crore

Tamil Nadu has lined up a significant pipeline of hotel and hospitality projects across key cities and tourism destinations, with cumulative announced investments running into several thousand crore.

The projects span luxury resorts, city hotels, convention-linked developments, and heritage-focused properties, reflecting broad-based expansion in the state’s hospitality sector.

Large-ticket investments include Sujan Life’s proposed Rs. 500 crore wilderness resort in Coimbatore, Brigade Hotels’ Rs. 900 crore hotel project in Chennai, and Kodai Heights’ Rs. 300 crore hospitality development in Kodaikanal.

Mid-sized investments have been announced by groups such as J Hotels, Giovanni Resorts, Hall Mark Group, Home Trotter, Ampa Group, Ankit Construction, and Sangu Chakra Hotels, each committing between Rs. 200 crore and Rs. 350 crore across locations including Chennai, Ramanathapuram, Tiruppur, and Tiruvannamalai.

Smaller but regionally significant projects include investments by CGH Heritage Resort, YMRT Hotels, Sri Venkateshwara Hotels, Chandrakela Hotel, Amutha Surabhi, Ramya Group, VGP, Birdee Club Hotel, Direct Hotels, Rathna Group, and Great Lagoon, primarily spread across Coimbatore, Trichy, Thanjavur, Tirupattur, and Kanchipuram.
