LG invests Rs 1,000 crore in Noida R&D and manufacturing hub

Manufacturing  -  Nov 11,2025  -

LG Electronics India has announced a Rs 1,000 crore investment to establish a new R&D and manufacturing hub in Noida, Uttar Pradesh.

The facility will focus on next-generation product development and support LG’s “Design in India, Make in India” strategy.

The new hub will house advanced testing, design, and production units for a range of consumer electronics, including smart TVs, home appliances, and air-conditioning systems. LG plans to leverage India’s engineering talent base to strengthen its global innovation ecosystem.

This move underscores LG’s long-term commitment to India, one of its largest markets outside South Korea. The investment will also generate hundreds of skilled jobs and help localise key components currently imported from Southeast Asia.

Industry analysts see the project as a key step in consolidating Noida’s status as an electronics manufacturing cluster, which already hosts major players such as Samsung and Dixon Technologies.
