KP Energy orders 20 wind turbines from Senvion India for project in Gujarat

Power Generation  -  May 05,2025  -

KP Energy Limited has placed an order to buy 20 of Senvion India’s advanced 4.2WM M160 wind turbines. These are part of the 4XM range. These turbines will be put up for a project that combines different power sources for a customer in the Bharuch district of Gujarat. They are expected to be delivered between January and March 2026 (fourth quarter of FY 2025-26).

The deal includes providing and overseeing the setup of the wind turbines. It also includes a full contract for operating and maintaining them, making sure they work well and reliably for a long time.

According to the company, this project is one of the first times the 4.2M160 model is being used commercially. This is Senvion’s biggest and most advanced wind turbine. It is made to work well in low wind conditions and is designed for India's different types of land. With a rotor that is 160 meters wide and heights of up to 140 meters for the central part (hub), the turbine is built to produce the most power possible while lasting a long time.

Dr. Faruk G. Patel, the Managing Director of KP Energy Limited, said, "The 4.2M160 design allows us to produce more power effectively while keeping running costs low over time. With more than thirty years of experience providing renewable energy solutions across India, the KP Group is still strongly committed to growing its green energy business and helping our customers reach their growth and energy goals with clean and sustainable power."
