The agreement was formalised in the presence of Minister for Large and Medium Industries and Infrastructure Development, MB Patil Minister for Energy, KJ George, and Chairman of Karnataka Renewable Energy Development (KREDL), T D Rajegowda.

MB Patil stated, “GAIL can initiate the projects by acquiring land from farmers on a lease basis or we will facilitate land allocation through KIADB. Necessary approvals, registration, and concessions will be provided swiftly.”

He highlighted that the partnership allows GAIL to pursue a diverse renewable energy portfolio including ground-mounted, rooftop, and floating solar projects, wind energy, and required energy storage solutions.
