Karnataka Cabinet approves Rs. 27.93 crore for establishing a superspeciality hospital

Infrastructure  -  Nov 17,2025  -

The Karnataka state Cabinet has cleared a budget of Rs. 27.93 crore to set up a superspeciality hospital aimed at improving access to advanced medical services in the region.

The allocation covers initial infrastructure development and critical equipment procurement, aligning with the state’s broader strategy to enhance tertiary healthcare capacity.

This initiative arrives at a time when demand for specialist care is increasing due to rising chronic diseases and population pressure on existing public hospitals.

The investment is expected to strengthen Karnataka’s healthcare ecosystem by improving regional service delivery and reducing dependence on metropolitan centres.
