JK Cement has begun construction on a new Rs 3,000 crore greenfield cement plant in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. 

The new facility, spanning 525 acres, is a strategic move to strengthen the company's pan-India presence and meet the growing demand for cement driven by infrastructure and housing projects. 

The plant is expected to be completed by early 2027 and will incorporate modern technology like waste heat recovery systems to ensure sustainability and energy efficiency.

The project will leverage the region's rich limestone reserves, providing long-term raw material security. Its location also offers easy access to key markets in Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Haryana. 

The new plant is anticipated to create both direct and indirect employment opportunities, contributing to regional development and skill-building for the local workforce.
