Hindalco Industries has announced plans to invest Rs. 21,000 crore to expand aluminium smelting operations in Odisha.

The investment includes capacity expansion and commissioning of a battery foil manufacturing plant.

Battery foil is a key input for electric vehicles and energy storage systems. The expansion will be implemented in a phased manner.
