H&H Aluminium bolsters 'Make in India' with Rs 150- crore solar frame plant in Gujarat

Power Generation  -  Jul 04,2025  -

H&H Aluminium Private Limited has officially inaugurated its state-of-the-art solar panel frame manufacturing plant in Chibhda village, Rajkot, Gujarat.

This landmark facility, developed with an investment of approximately Rs 150 crore, is set to be India's largest and most advanced plant of its kind at a single location, drastically reducing the country's reliance on imported solar frame components.

The new facility, spanning an impressive 28,000 square meters, boasts an annual production capacity of 24,000 metric tons (MT) of aluminum solar panel frames.

This capacity is substantial enough to support up to 6 Gigawatts (GW) of solar installations across India annually, making H&H Aluminium a pivotal player in the nation's ambitious renewable energy targets. India has set a goal to install 500 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030, with a significant portion, around 280 GW, expected to come from solar power.

The inauguration ceremony was graced by C R Patil, Union Minister of Jal Shakti, Government of India, highlighting the government's strong support for domestic manufacturing in the clean energy sector.

Trial production at the plant commenced in June 2025, with commercial operations expected to begin within the next month. At full capacity, the plant is projected to generate annual sales between Rs 700-750 crore and create employment opportunities for over 300 people.
