HCC wins Rs 204 crore contract for aluminium smelter expansion in Odisha

Petroleum  -  Oct 10,2025  -

Hindustan Construction Company Ltd (HCC), one of India’s leading infrastructure and engineering firms, has been awarded a contract worth approximately Rs 204 crore by Hindalco Industries to support the expansion of its Aditya Aluminium smelter in Odisha.

Under the deal, HCC will manage the fabrication, supply, and installation of pot shells and superstructure components as part of Hindalco’s plan to increase aluminium production by 200,000 tonnes annually.

HCC has a long history of executing complex industrial projects, spanning sectors such as energy, transport, and mining.

Its expertise in heavy industrial fabrication and large-scale EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) work makes it a preferred partner for companies undertaking capacity expansions.

Hindalco, part of the Aditya Birla Group, is one of the world’s largest aluminium producers and has been investing in modernising and expanding its smelting facilities to meet growing domestic and international demand, driven by sectors such as automotive, aerospace, and packaging.
