Power Generation  -  Oct 10,2025  -

Power & Instrumentation (Gujarat) Ltd (PIGL) has secured a turnkey contract valued at Rs 68.22 crore from Ajmer Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited under India’s Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS).

The project involves supply, erection, installation, testing, and commissioning of distribution infrastructure, focusing on segregating 11 kV mixed feeders in the Dungarpur circle. Execution is scheduled over 15 months.

PIGL has consistently contributed to utility-scale distribution upgrades, particularly in rural electrification and power quality improvement projects.

RDSS, backed by the Ministry of Power, aims to reduce losses, modernize distribution networks, and enhance reliability for end consumers.

With India’s push towards reliable and resilient electricity grids, companies like PIGL are playing a vital role in bridging infrastructure gaps while supporting state utilities in reducing technical and commercial losses.
