Godrej Enterprises Group’s Energy Solutions division has commissioned a 2 MWp solar power plant for a major FMCG facility in Guwahati, Assam. 

The solar installation is expected to produce around 2.4 million kilowatt-hours of electricity each year, helping the facility reduce its carbon emissions by approximately 98.4 tons annually. 

The project is also expected to save the company nearly Rs1.4 crore per year in electricity costs. Designed for a 25-year operational lifespan, the plant will generate about 57,000 MWh of clean energy over its lifetime.

According to Raghavendra Mirji, Executive Vice President and Business Head of Energy Solutions, the project demonstrates how industrial users can integrate renewable power to improve both environmental and operational outcomes.
