GE Aerospace to invest USD 14 million to expand Pune manufacturing capability

Infrastructure  -  Nov 21,2025  -

GE Aerospace has announced a USD 14 million investment to expand manufacturing capacity at its Pune facility, aiming to scale production of aerospace components and deepen India-based supply for global aerospace programmes.

The expansion is positioned to enhance GE’s local manufacturing intensity and support MRO and assembly activities over time.

The Pune site benefits from proximity to a skilled engineering workforce and an ecosystem of precision suppliers, enabling GE to ramp up complex machining, finishing and sub-assembly tasks.

Localisation of components helps compress lead times and can reduce total landed costs for global programmes.

GE framed this as part of a strategic, long-term commitment to India’s aerospace industrialisation, including greater collaboration with local OEMs and potential participation in defence-offset opportunities.

The investment may also help catalyse supplier development in advanced materials and testing capabilities.
