Power Generation  -  Jul 18,2025  -

Evolve Energy has secured a significant contract to develop a 1.5-megawatt (MW) ground-mounted solar power plant for Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL), a major subsidiary of Coal India Ltd.

The project, to be located at MCL's premises in Odisha, marks a strategic step towards integrating clean energy into the operations of India's coal and mining sector.

This win further solidifies Evolve Energy's growing footprint in delivering renewable energy solutions to key public sector enterprises across the country.

The project, tendered by MCL, will be implemented under a CAPEX (Capital Expenditure) model and has an ambitious completion timeline of six months, targeting final commissioning by November 2026.

S.K. Prasad, Head of Tendering at Evolve Energy, expressed the company's pride in this partnership. "This win reflects our commitment to delivering scalable, industrial-grade solar solutions," he stated.

"We are proud to contribute to MCL's clean energy transition and support India's broader decarbonization goals."
