Infrastructure major Dilip Buildcon Limited (DBL) has bagged a contract for developing a 100 MW solar power project in Madhya Pradesh through its joint venture, DBL-APMPL.

The project, to be executed under the captive mode for Madhya Pradesh Jal Nigam, is valued at approximately Rs 2,200 crore.

Under the arrangement, MPJNM will provide land and hold a 26% equity stake, while DBL will handle engineering, procurement, and construction activities. The power generated will be supplied at Rs 2.09 per unit over a 25-year period.

This marks DBL’s strategic entry into renewable energy generation, diversifying its portfolio beyond highways and EPC contracts. The project is expected to be completed within 24 months and will contribute to the state’s renewable capacity targets under the National Solar Mission.
