The Centre has approved infrastructure projects worth Rs. 44,771 crore in Odisha, including a greenfield highway connecting Bhubaneswar with Paradip port. 

The corridor will significantly improve freight movement and port connectivity. 

It is expected to support mineral-based industries, logistics efficiency, and industrial expansion in the region. 

The project forms part of a broader push for port-led development in eastern India. 

It is also likely to boost regional economic integration and investment inflows.
