Steel Authority of India Limited’s Bokaro Steel Plant is set to raise production capacity to 7.55 million tonnes per annum under an ongoing expansion and modernisation programme. 

The initiative focuses on improving operational efficiency and product quality. Increased capacity will help meet rising steel demand from infrastructure, railways, and construction sectors. 

The expansion aligns with India’s broader push to scale domestic steel production. It also strengthens Bokaro’s role as a key integrated steel facility.
