Blue Energy Motors raises $50 million to accelerate green trucking in India

Power Generation  -  Sep 18,2025  -

Blue Energy Motors, a company at the forefront of decarbonizing India's transportation sector, has secured a total of $50 million in funding.

This includes a recent $30 million round from key investors like Nikhil Kamath and Omnitex Industries.

The fresh capital is earmarked to fully unlock the company's existing manufacturing capacity of 10,000 trucks per year and accelerate the production of its liquefied natural gas (LNG) and electric heavy-duty trucks.

Essar and FPT (Iveco Group) are also strategic investors and technology partners, supporting the company's mission to offer sustainable and commercially viable freight solutions.

The company's LNG trucks have already traveled over 60 million kilometers, demonstrating a significant reduction in carbon emissions.
