Assam is set to establish India’s first industrial-scale bamboo-to-biomethanol plant, leveraging the state’s abundant bamboo resources. The project aims to produce clean fuel for industrial and transport applications.

 

Biomethanol is gaining attention as a sustainable alternative to fossil fuels. The initiative supports India’s push towards bio-based energy solutions.

 

It is also expected to boost local economies and promote utilisation of natural resources.
