The Andhra Pradesh government has approved a Rs. 29,253 crore project for development of Dugarajapatnam Port along with a mega shipbuilding cluster.

The development will be implemented through a special purpose vehicle formed for the project.

Officials said the port will enhance maritime infrastructure and support industrial logistics.

The shipbuilding cluster is expected to attract investments in marine engineering and ship repair industries.
