Ambuja Cements Ltd has commissioned a new 4 MTPA clinker unit at its Bhatapara facility, significantly augmenting its production backbone in central India. 

The upgrade is part of the company’s broader strategic expansion to strengthen its manufacturing footprint and improve supply availability for captive grinding units. 

The plant incorporates modern process control systems designed to optimise energy efficiency and reduce emissions.

This expansion comes during a period of rising cement demand driven by infrastructure, housing, and industrial investments across the region. 

By increasing clinker availability, Ambuja is positioned to improve cost efficiencies while ensuring timely supply to key growth markets.

The enhancement also supports the company’s long-term competitiveness as the industry consolidates under larger integrated players.
