Adani Green energizes Khavda with 50 MW Solar Project

Power Generation  -  May 15,2025  -

Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) has successfully commenced operation at the 50 MW solar power project at Khavda in Gujarat.

The project was developed through AGEL’s subsidiary, Adani Renewable Energy Fifty Six. With this new addition, AGEL’s total operational renewable energy capacity now stands at 14,340.9 MW.

The Khavda solar project is part of AGEL’s ambitious plan to develop the world’s largest renewable energy park in the region, covering an estimated area of 538 square kilometers. The park aims to provide clean and sustainable energy to over 16 million households, significantly contributing to India’s renewable energy targets and reducing carbon emissions.

The project’s commissioning was finalized after receiving necessary clearances early in the morning on May 14, 2025, and operations commenced the following day.

In addition to the Khavda project, AGEL has been actively commissioning other renewable energy projects nationwide. These efforts are part of India’s larger goal to achieve 500 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030. AGEL’s continued progress highlights its commitment to supporting the nation’s clean energy transition.
