ACME solar holdings adds 75 MW to Rajasthan Solar Project

Power Generation  -  Jun 11,2025  -

Acme Solar Holdings has added another 75 MW of renewable energy to its Sikar Solar project in Rajasthan. This brings the total working capacity at the site to 240 MW out of the planned 300 MW.

With this latest addition, Acme Solar's total working renewable energy capacity has reached 2,806.4 MW. The Sikar project spans 1,300 acres in Bikaner, an area with some of India's strongest sunlight for solar power. This move reinforces Acme's dedication to India's clean energy goals.

The Sikar Solar project, funded by Power Finance Corporation (PFC), is expected to generate about 780 million units of clean electricity each year once it's fully up and running. The power from the site is gathered at stations that convert it and then sent through a dedicated 220 kV power line connected to the Bikaner-II power grid substation.

"The Sikar project is an important step in Acme’s plan to help India reach its clean energy goals," the company stated. The 300 MW capacity for this project was awarded under the SECI-ISTS XVIII scheme at a rate of Rs 3.05 per unit
