Karnataka has successfully secured an impressive investment pipeline worth Rs 5,500 crore from its recent innovation roadshow across the United States. 

This significant inflow of prospective investments, primarily targeting the Electronic Systems Design and Manufacturing (ESDM) sector and Global Capability Centres (GCCs), is poised to generate over 7,200 new employment opportunities in the state.

The 10-day roadshow, organized by the Department of Electronics, IT & Biotechnology, traversed three major U.S. cities: Boston, New York, and San Francisco, from June 16 to 25. 

The delegation, led by Dr. Ekroop Caur, Secretary of the Department of Electronics, IT & Biotechnology, and Hoskote MLA Sharath Bachegowda (Chairman of KEONICS), engaged with more than 120 companies, encompassing both multinational corporations and burgeoning startups.

Of the total investment interest garnered, Rs 5,500 crore is specifically earmarked for the ESDM sector, with an additional Rs 1,600 crore coming from GCCs. 

This highlights Karnataka's established reputation as a powerhouse in technology and a preferred destination for global companies seeking to set up or expand their innovation and operational hubs.
