The government has approved 29 additional proposals under the Electronics Component Manufacturing Scheme (ECMS), taking total committed investments beyond Rs. 61,000 crore.

The scheme is aimed at strengthening India’s electronics supply chain by encouraging domestic manufacturing of components.

This marks a significant step towards reducing import dependence in the electronics sector.
