New Bulk Drugs Manufacturing Project in India – 2021

  • Laxmi Genchem Sciences is planning to take up new bulk drug, intermediates manufacturing project in Kadechur Industrial Area, Yadgir, Karnataka. The project involves manufacturing of bulk drug, intermediates. The estimated cost of the project is Rs.245 million. As of January 2021, Karnataka’s State Level Single Window Clearance Committee has approved the investment proposal.
  • Vidgas Science and Technologies is planning to take up in new bulk drugs and intermediate manufacturing Unit in Kadechur Industrial Area, Yadgir, Karnataka. The project involves establish a unit for manufacturing of bulk drugs and intermediate over 5 acres of KIADB land. The estimated cost of the project is Rs.422.6 million. On October 2020, State Single Window Clearance & Monitoring Authority has approved the proposal. On January 2021, the project work has commenced. As of May 2021, project involves establish bulk drugs & drug intermediates manufacturing unit with capacity 26.48 TPM with investment Rs.180 Million. The environment clearance for the project is underway.
  • Maldeep Catalysts is planning to take up new bulk drug & specialty chemicals manufacturing unit in GIDC Saykha, Vagra, Bharuch, Gujarat. The project involves setting up bulk drug & specialty chemicals manufacturing unit with capacity 2252.1 MT/M. The estimated cost of the project is Rs.147.5 million. As of February 2021, environment clearance for the project is underway.
  • Morepen Laboratories is planning to take up APIs manufacturing expansion project in Himachal Pradesh. The project involves expanding the API manufacturing capacity of 2,000 tpa of APIs addition to 3,000 tpa capacity already installed. The additional capacities will facilitate production of over 40 new and existing bulk drugs covering various therapeutic categories including anti-diabetic, anti-hypertensives, anti-allergic, anti-asthmatic, cholesterol reducers, anti-viral, anti-coagulants, anti-psychotic and anti-depressants. The estimated cost of the project is Rs.1780 million. As of February 2021, company is awaiting environmental clearance (EC) from the State Level Approval Committee for the project.
  • Pan Drugs is planning to take up bulk drug and intermediates manufacturing unit expansion in GIDC Nandesari, Vadodara, Gujarat. The project involves expansion of manufacturing unit for production by including 36 new active pharmaceutical ingredients and 50 API intermediates The quantity proposed is API about 300 MTPM and API intermediates about 200 MTPM. The estimated cost of the project is Rs.11.2 million. As of March 2021, environment clearance for the project is underway.
  • Rishi Industries is planning to take up new bulk drugs and its intermediates manufacturing unit in Panoli, Bharuch, Gujarat. The project involves setting up new unit for manufacturing of API – Bulk drugs and its intermediate. The estimated cost of the project is Rs.80 million. As of March 2021, environment clearance for the project is underway.
  • Geeta Chemicals is planning to take up API-Bulk drugs and its intermediates manufacturing expansion project in GIDC Ankleshwar, Bharuch, Gujarat. The project involves expansion of existing plant for production of API-Bulk drugs and its intermediates. The proposed expansion will be executed within the existing plant premises only. In addition to others API-Bulk drugs and bulk drugs intermediates, the total production capacity after expansion will be 50 MTPM. The estimated cost of the project is Rs.60 million. As of March 2021, environment clearance for the project is underway.
  • Medilux Drugs is planning to take up a new bulk drugs & fine chemicals manufacturing project in Industrial Area, Sector-3, Sagor, Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh. The project involves manufacturing of intermediates of bulk drugs & fine chemicals with capacity 400 MT/Y. The project is estimated to cost Rs.310 million. As of March 2021, the company has received consent from the state pollution control authorities to establish the project
  • Auroactive Pharma is planning to take up a new bulk drugs manufacturing unit in A.V. Nagaram (V), Kakinada SEZ area, Thondangi, East Godavari, Andhra Pradesh. The project involves setting up Bulk drugs manufacturing unit with capacity 12,400 TPA and Co Generation 40 MW with Pipeline for marine discharge and intake of sea water for desalination plant. The project is estimated to cost Rs.50 million. As of April 2021, the company has received consent from the state pollution control authorities to establish the project.
