Work to acquire 422 acres for defence park in Tamilnadu gains momentum

For the purpose of acquiring 422 acres in Varapatti village in Sulurtaluk for the defence industrial corridor, the district administration has employed two tahsildars and the equivalent number of office assistants.

Office holders of the Coimbatore District Small Industries Association (Codissia) had already located the site and contacted Tidco to purchase it for the construction of the defence industrial corridor.

The district administration has ordered Tidco to send 158.83 crore to its account for the land acquisition and administrative costs in order to expedite the acquisition process. It should be highlighted that the district administration has the ability to pay the fees associated with land acquisition.
