A specific electrical and electronic industrial park will be built in West Bengal by the state government and the Indian Electrical & Electronics Manufacturers Association (IEEMA).
The state government is looking for property for the park that may be up to 1000 acres, which is expected to provide a tonne of investment opportunities.
The state government is seeking for land for the park either Kharagpur or Durgapur, depending on availability, with a focus on renewable energy in the industrial park.
“The state government is very proactive about industry and taking serious initiative on the park. We have held several rounds of meetings on this,” Siddharth Bhutoria, Chairman of IEEMA Eastern Region said.
