Vedanta signs pacts with 30 Japanese firms to develop Indian semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem

In order to create an Indian semiconductor and glass display manufacturing ecosystem, Vedanta Group announced on Tuesday that it had agreements in place with 30 Japanese technology businesses.

The agreements were signed last week in Tokyo, Japan at the Vedanta-Avanstrate Business Partners Summit 2022. More than 200 participants from more than 100 international companies attended the summit.

The business is dedicated to turning India into a centre for electronics production. According to Akarsh K. Hebbar, MD of the display and semiconductor businesses at Vedanta Global, the company is focused on doing more than merely transferring technology.

Many businesses expressed interest in participating in the ecosystem for India’s semiconductor mission at the summit.
