Union Minister inaugurates new E-drive line at Toyota

Toyota Kirloskar Motor auto parts division inaugurated its new electrified component manufacturing line (E-Drive line) as a part of the MOU signed with Government of Karnataka, to reduce their carbon footprint and move towards building a ‘Net Zero Carbon Society.’

The company also announced the expansion of phase 2 of Toyota Technical Training Institute, which will be a major skill enhancement factor for the economically weaker section of the society. This will incorporate the Make in India and Skill India initiative.

Both these projects by Toyota were inaugurated by Mahendra Nath Pandey, Minister, Ministry of Heavy industries, Government of India, C N Ashwath Narayan, Minister of Higher Education, IT & BT, Science & Technology, Skill Development, Entrepreneurship & Livelihood Government of Karnataka, A Manjunath – MLA Magadi Constituency, Government of Karnataka, Senior officials of Government of India and Government of Karnataka, in the presence of Vice Chairman – Vikram S. Kirloskar & Managing Director – Masakazu Yoshimura of Toyota Kirloskar Motor, K N Prasad, Managing Director – Toyota Kirloskar Auto Parts and other Toyota executives.
