Two Air Separation Units (ASUs) to be installed at Meramandali Plant in Odisha

Tata Steel has awarded a contract to INOX Air Products (INOXAP), India’s largest producer of industrial and medical gases, to install two Air Separation Units (ASUs) at the Meramandali Plant in Odisha.

Each ASU will be able to produce 1800 tonnes of oxygen, along with nitrogen, argon, and rare gases, per day.

This project is INOXAP’s largest Greenfield investment to date, with an estimated investment of Rs 1300 crore. This partnership with Tata Steel fits nicely with their continuous plan to increase steel capacity. It displays INOXAP’s cutting-edge technology, sophisticated infrastructure, and dedication to growing its footprint in East India.

The cooperation enhances INOXAP’s standing as a top provider to onsite merchants.

Siddharth Jain, Managing Director of INOX Air Products, expressed pride in the association with Tata Steel and emphasised the company’s dedication to delivering top-notch services to the Indian manufacturing sector.

Avneesh Gupta, Vice President TQM and Engineering & Projects at Tata Steel, acknowledged the significance of the partnership and the pivotal role INOXAP’s industrial gases will play in supporting Tata Steel’s growth ambitions.
