Tripura govt signs MoU with NTPC for Renewable Energy projects

The National Thermal Electricity Corporation Limited (NTPC) and the Tripura government’s power department have a contract for the construction of floating and ground-based renewable energy projects in Tripura.

The agreement is for the development of floating and ground-based renewable energy projects in Tripura, as well as for assisting the government in upholding its pledges and duties in the area.

The reservoir and nearby undeveloped submergence property will be used to instal floating and ground-mounted solar systems. Additionally, ground-mounted solar energy projects with or without storage facilities will be built on unoccupied land allocated by the Tripuran government.

The two parties would look into potential options for the growth of renewable energy projects as may be mutually agreed upon for Tripura’s decarbonization and energy transition.
