The Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA) has issued an RfP for the upgrade of Muzaffarpur Railway Station in Bihar.

The project is expected to cost around Rs 400 crore. The upgrade will be carried out on an EPC contract approach.

Construction of a new station building, a 108 mtr wide air plaza above platforms for movement and waiting of leaving passengers, provision of a second entry, and integrating both sides of the city are all part of the scope of work.

The structure will have a fire suppression system as well as grid-connected solar photovoltaic installations. The project is expected to take three years to complete.
